APERTURE DOOR SYSTEMS

Aperture systems are a unique enhancement to an aircraft hangar and are perfect for retro-fit projects. These configurations commonly consist of a three part system where part of the plane’s fuselage (main body of the aircraft) and tail are exposed on the exterior of the hanger. Door Engineering can provide several custom fabricated aperture designs to meet your project requirements, designed for single or multiple fuselage profiles.

CRANEWAY/LOAD DOOR SYSTEMS

Craneway doors are designed for efficient access of overhead cranes and their loads. The load doors are typically a swinging door or a bottom supported sliding door and can be manufactured to meet opening size requirements. The craneway door is hinged at the top of the header and swings up and in, allowing the crane to pass under it.

Versatility

• Doors can be manufactured in sizes up to 125 feet wide by 30 or more feet high.
• Custom designed to fit around the crane rail.
• Flexibility in siding material choice used to cover the door section.

Superior Design

• Fabricated from structural steel sections and cold formed steel girts.
• Heavy duty cables and double drive operator chains increase safety when top door section is lifted.
• Automatic magnetic brake holds door in open position.
