Tip-up doors can be manufactured up to 130 feet wide by 32 feet
high. Door Engineering’s Tip-up Door system requires a
minimum amount of side room, which maximizes the opening width.
Construction
Tip-up doors are fabricated from structural steel sections and cold formed steel
girts. Virtually any siding material can be used to cover the door section from
corrugated sheeting, to translucent wall panels. The door structure can also
be designed to receive windows and personnel doors.
Operation
A floor level operator opens and closes the tip-up door by driving a counterweight
connected to the door with cable running over heavy-duty sheaves. The floor level
operator is equipped with a disconnect mechanism which allows the door to be
manually operated in case of a power failure.
DOOR ENGINEERING ADVANTAGES:
Minimum head and side room = Maximum opening.
NO floor guides required.
Counterweighted operator allows safe and easy
manual operation.
